The Bible says in I John 5:11-13, "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son [Jesus Christ]. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [Pretty simple?] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
In the world today there are many different ideas about the afterlife and Heaven. The only plan that God every gave us to get to Heaven is contained in the Word of God! Whether or not we choose to believe what God tells us through the Scriptures does not change this simple truth: "He that hath the Son hath life!"
There really is a wonderful place called Heaven where there are no tears, sorrow, pain, turmoil, fighting, fear, or even death—forever! Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people who have their faith in THE SON!
There is also a horrible place called Hell. In this place there is eternal fire, pain, torment, darkness, and death. Hell is a prepared place for the Devil and his angels, and it is the eternal destiny of anyone who does not have THE SON!
1. Realize you are a sinner! "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;" - Rom. 3:23 2. Realize there has to be a payment for that sin! "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Rom. 6:23 3. Turn from your sin and accept THE SON as your Saviour! "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine hearth that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." - Rom. 10:9
THIS VERY MOMENT, ask THE SON to save you, knowing that "...him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." - John 6:37
Dear LORD Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot get to Heaven on my own. I believe that when You died on the cross, You died in my place and for my sin. Please forgive me of my sin and be my Saviour; I am trusting You to give me eternal life and a home in Heaven on day. Thank you, LORD. Amen
